You cannot follow through with the sexual desires of our mind and body while interacting with a partner.
This is probably the most difficult of all life’s issues. Not because it can’t be addressed, but because it’s steeped in social stigma, people won’t seek help. The subject of sex in our culture can be surrounded by taboos and deep shame, made worst by religious dogma, inappropriate control issues or trauma and abuse.
It may seem innocuous when a well-meaning parent sharply reprimands or worse yet demeans their young child for pleasurably touching themselves, but it is not. Young minds absorb everything, then try to live later with the consequences of that warped filter. That’s how fragile young minds are. You know your parents, were you that child?
Many times, the sexual dysfunction is an extension of low self-esteem. Using Energy work to heal damaged self-esteem and become reacquainted with your worth can bring wholeness to many areas of your life.
Regardless of the cause, intense feelings of shame can keep you from experiencing one of life’s wholesome pleasures.
